Richard Pharro is CEO of The APM Group Limited; the Accreditation Body for OGC’s Best Practice Portfolio of service management (ITIL) and Program, Project and Risk Management , MSP, PRINCE2 and M_o_R.
Richard is a Chartered Director and Engineer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management and the Institute of Marketing.
He qualified as a Civil Engineer and worked on projects in the UK and the Middle East before establishing the APM Group in 1993. He has facilitated value management workshops for clients and applies the principles of value management in the operation of APM Group
In the late 1980’s, early 1990’s Richard served on the Council for the Association of Project Management and the Board of the International Project Management Association and was responsible for the early development of APM’s Certification Programme and the initial Certification work on behalf of IPMA.
Richard is a non executive Director of the Best Practice User Group and speaks at industry events on project and service management around the world.
He has written one book, The Relationship Manager – The Next Generation of Project Management.
