Doug is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer whose experience extends from the design and development of special purpose equipment to retiring as a principal engineer in the nuclear equipment supply industry. He developed a Value Management approach during a 20 year period in mid career working for a company who manufactured consumer durables.
Doug is one of two remaining IVM members who were at the inauguration meeting of the Value Engineering Association in 1965 and was the first IVM chair in 1991. Doug has been secretary of both the IVM and CB since 2001.
