Hello again to all our readers from the Scottish Branch. The Branch has seen a good growth in activity this year with the continued success of our Professional Seminar series and a general spread of interest in the work of Branch Members.

We have people joining in From Scottish Executive, Communities Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Local Authorities, Health Board! Trusts, the Scottish Prison Service, trade bodies - Scottish Building, as well as contractors in construction, people from manufacturing I electronics sector and consultants in value. The forthcoming legislative changes in Scotland to bring in Best Value regulations may be one source of interest but overall I would say there is a growing expectation from clients that effective value management tools and practice should be adopted to improve services.

The IVM Scottish Branch will continue the series of professional seminars on the theme - Developing a Culture of Continuous Improvement - over the coming academic year - contact us for details if you would like to join our events seminars. New corporate members - Get the most from your subscription - up to ten nominated individuals can join many events free of charge!
